I am Professor of Biology with a Ph.D. in Botany who has been taking pictures since I was 14 and borrowed my dad's 35 mm camera. I am married to one of the most beautiful and loving woman in the world and we currently have an empty nest, minus the syndrome. Our daugher has already blessed us with four grandkids and our son hopes to add to that soon. I live in the beautiful Napa Valley in Northern California on the top of Howell Mountain where I teach Biology in a small, private, 4-year liberal arts college.

The End of My Hiatus

Well, it has indeed been some time since I have written in my journal. Well, better late than never. Although I have been rather absent from DA for a little more than a year, I have not been slacking in the photography, and thus some of the new photos I have posted recently, some of which date from over a year ago. I have taken two major trips over the last two years, one to the Yukon and Alaska, and the other to the Gulf Islands off the North coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Home from Canyonlands!
