The End of My Hiatus
Well, it has indeed been some time since I have written in my journal. Well, better late than never.
Although I have been rather absent from DA for a little more than a year, I have not been slacking in the photography, and thus some of the new photos I have posted recently, some of which date from over a year ago. I have taken two major trips over the last two years, one to the Yukon and Alaska, and the other to the Gulf Islands off the North coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. I have also recently upgraded my camera to a Canon EOS 6D, including a lens upgrade to a Canon 180mm macro.

Leaving on a Trip to the Canyonlands
I am leaving today on a trip to the canyonlands of Utah and Arizona. My camera is packed, I have extra battery packs and extra cards and I'm excited to start shooting. Flying to Salt lake City tomorrow, spending a few days there and then it will be off to the wilds. If anyone has any good suggestions about places not to miss, let me know.
Since I will be traveling a lot the rest of this month, i will probably be posting fewer pictures, but I will be on periodically, so watch for some desert shots!
